I know this should be in the For Sale Section, but it is not working, I have got a brand new large travel cot, with a deluxe mattress, never ever been used, Brevi make, cost £79.99. for the cot alone, without the mattress, it is for sale for 40.(with the mattress) Also I have a lovely small wooden cot, with lovely pink bedding to go with it, complete with waterproof mattress, 30. pm me if you are interested.

A precautionary tale.

Last week i was in Madrid on busnes.While there i poped into the main courts to see my nephew,who is a senior Judge.He asked if we had any busnes or interests on amerillo golf? I said no why? He said that Lawyers acting for A B two of the most powerfull and richest famerlys in the islands where going to court to sort out ownership of land that had been developed ilegaly.B wants a retrospectve boundryline from 1968 made valid .if B wins,it means that A must restore the land to its origanl state.Now no one who ownes property there will be notifyed about this. the case is not due to start untill November. For the winner of this case the prize is worth maybe a billon euros.If i was an owner of property on the golf i would pop over to Madrid quickly with all paper work and land grid location and see which side of the 1968 boundryline i was on. to the left no problem to the right ? This case could drag on for years.When it does Hit theT.V and newpapers,property prices will go drop.My self i would sell now.As we who haved lived here for many years know, Tenerife breaks many hearts..

Wrong venue.

One of the main reasons we choose Tenerife as one of our annual holiday destinations is the great entertainment available. A firm favourite of ours for over ten years has been the Looney Tunes. Ok, not to everybody's taste and I can understand that, so I'm not here to make a point about that BUT having first seen the duo in the Brewers Droop, where they played to a packed house every night, I had my reservations when they moved to Shenanigans.
Firstly, it was far too dark inside for Freddie to have his usual interaction with the audience, having to resort to using a torch !! Secondly, seating was too far away and haphazard to recreate the atmosphere of the Brewers. Unfortunately, my fears were realised last week.
Nothing in the bar until 10.30 and when the duo started there were only a dozen or so people there on many evenings. Yes, the audience increased during the show but it was obvious both artists were somewhat bored. Be fair, to sustain two and a half hours three times a week to a half empty venue must be difficult. They accompanied guest singers on other nights.
In previous years Freddie has had enough material for two weeks but we heard the same jokes and gags almost every night of the six we were there. What really topped it off was when they were begging a mediorce member of the audience to sing three songs !!
They can still do the business and Dave is a gifted guitarist but I'm unsure if they can sustain it at this venue. Not really helped by 2.5 euros for half a lemonade !!!

What a voice !!!

Absolutely gobsmacked:wow: is the only term I can use after visiting the Brahms & Listz last week on a Saturday evening. The artist appearing was Jeff Leyton. Didn't know who he was until he started singing. WOW !!! He had been the main singer in for many years Les Miserables when it went on the road. I have never heard anyone sing quite like this in a bar. Mostly songs from the musicals but this guy can sing anything. Just proves that many good songs are wasted on average performers.
As one gent who sat by us remarked, ' Last time I saw him was in Manchester in 1996 and I paid £50 on that occasion'.
We went to see him both Saturdays. You have to suffer a young lad named Charlie, who won some competiton on the island ,for 20 minutes or so but the wait is worthwhile.
Jeff does appear one other night at a different venue but if you want to witness total class it really is something else !! Thank you Brahms & Listz.

Death wish bus stops

I need to get 4 elderly ladies on to the bus to Santa Cruz,we are in the golf del sur area,,I know that I could get the bus at Chafiras but I could not take the chance on getting them down onto the TF1 :eek:
